THE CAMDLES STORY!

Meet Cameron the Melbourne bloke behind Camdles.

The year was 2022!

Cameron who's a truck driver by trade, did something most truck drivers should probably never do in their life. He fractured his driving foot and was laid up at home for 6 months in a moonboot.

Bored and losing his mind from the repetitiveness of his days at home, his wife Millie suggested he find a hobby he could start to make his days of recovery go faster.

"Candles!" Cameron suggested as he liked making them when he was younger and thought he could give them a go again.

Surprised by his answer, Millie supported the decision and drove Cameron, his moonboot, and

his knee scooter down to the candle supply wholesaler to purchase his first few bits and bobs for his newfound hobby.

Over the next few weeks, he'd spend his days next to the stove with his wax jug in a boiling pot of water and then scoot to the bench where he'd make his candles which Millie had no complaints about because the house smelt amazing when she'd get home from work and over time his mood had lifted immensely.

The time and effort he would spend making sure each candle was just right, was incredible, and each candle he made would have to be perfect, or he'd start all over again.

After some time, the number of homemade candles increased, and these candles were given as gifts to friends and family without their knowledge of who made them or their origins, but the praise for how amazing they were started pouring in.

When they discovered Cameron had made them, their expressions of astonishment and amazement were priceless moments that Millie found hilarious and continues to find so now.

So, the time came when Cameron could finally return to work and after a long day of driving on the busy roads of Melbourne he would come home and sit in the kitchen and relax for a few hours and make a candle and this became his new thing.

His way of unwinding.

It then expanded. From the kitchen to a candle making studio because everyone he knew wanted one of his candles.

They'd say, "Can you do this? Can you make that?", and this challenge created a fire in him, and no request was too small.

He'd create new colors and new scents and experiment with glitters and shimmers making sure every candle that he made was customized for the person receiving it and the smile on the receiver's face is what made Cameron feel the happiest.

His heart and soul would be poured into each container filled with that wax.

So, after a year, he decided it was time to launch his creations publicly!

And that there, my friends, is how CAMDLES was born.
